What is
intelligence?

Intelligence is information related to our national security that has been collected, analyzed, and evaluated by the IC. It often involves threats to the United States, its people, and its interests.

The Mission

We are in the thick of world events: relentlessly seeking information, asking questions, honing our skills, and getting answers to those who need them most, from the cabinet official in Washington to the warfighter in the field. We make sense of the complex tides of the past and present to ensure our nation’s place in the global future.

The Enterprise

The IC is continuously evolving to become more efficient, secure the latest technologies, and create the workplace that today’s top talent demands. From software to training courses you can’t find anywhere else, we are committed to developing resources and building an infrastructure that empower our employees.

The Future

Anticipating the future and preparing to meet it is our bread and butter. We collect information and create projections, scenarios, and strategies to stay ahead of our adversaries. Our scientists and technologists are developing tools that will not only improve our intelligence capabilities, but shape a better future for the world.

Find Your
Place

The IC is made up of people with diverse skill sets, backgrounds, and ideas. We are thousands of people in hundreds of locations around the world, dedicated to all parts of our mission. Get ready to make a difference.

Stem Careers

Did you know the IC is one of the largest STEM employers in the county? Science, technology, engineering, and math might not be the first fields you associate with the IC, but they are woven into every aspect of our work. How else would we conduct clandestine technical collection, build analytical tools to help us make sense of all the data, develop applications to help us collaborate across the world, and push the boundaries of quantum computing so we can do it all faster than our adversaries?
