On October 27, 2015, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence published the implementation plan for the Principles of Intelligence Transparency for the Intelligence Community. The implementation plan sets intelligence community priorities for transparency, translating the principles into concrete, measurable initiatives. One of those initiatives relates to providing the public with historical information on topics of public interest.
Today the ODNI is releasing an executive communication from the DNI to the heads of the intelligence community agencies informing them of his assignment of additional transparency duties to the Intelligence Community’s Senior Historians Panel.
